La Taberna
This is the most popular tavern in Playa del Carmen. The choice of drinks and appetizers is large. You can find numerous kinds of beers, tequila and mezcal shots, and a great variety of drinks with or without alcohol. Food options are also plenty: chicken wings, cheese sticks, chips, and french fries to grab a bite of after diving. The spot has AC, TVs for watching sports, a pool table and the service is really good.

Cervecería Chapultepec
Cerveceria Chapultepec is a trendy spot where you can enjoy some beers, eat good snacks, and have a good talk with your diving friends. There are 3 locations in Playa del Carmen. This is a cheap place where you can have as many beers as you can drink. This cerveceria knows what a good snack is, they can offer you: tacos, tostadas, empanadas, and more plus the classic ones at all other bars, so you can enjoy chatting, munching, and having a great chat in good company.
You can find it downtown, if want to go to the not-so-crowded one choose the next on Calle 20th, in front of Hilton’s hotel. The best thing about this spot is most items in the menu have the same price (1.5 USD, with some exceptions).
